Mobile phones have increased its popularity over the years. There used to be a relative niche within the mobile phone industry such as the high-end, mid-range, and budget-friendly categories.
But, that has since been blurred with mobile phone companies that deliver truly impressive specs without the very high price tag.
Today, we are going to take a look at a very budget friendly phone that has an impressive set of features.
The Lenovo K3 Note is a mobile phone that tells people that you can get a great mobile phone without the big asking price. Let’s take a look first at the phone’s design.
The Lenovo K3 Note is made out of premium plastic that is very easy to grip. It doesn’t attract any fingerprints at all and sports a simplistic overall design. Scratches are also less pronounced as the plastic makes a really good job of almost hiding them.
The volume rocker and the power button is carefully situated on the right side of the mobile phone with the former placed a little bit at the top and the latter is placed just below the volume controls.
At the top, you will see the microUSB port as well as the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is quite surprising for Lenovo to put the microUSB port at the top of the mobile phone, but it does work quite nicely without any issues.
Next thing we’ll talk about is the display. The Lenovo K3 Note has a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1080 (or 1080p) and has a pixel density of 401ppi. Looking at movies with this mobile phone should be a treat.
Probably, the only thing I have to note about the display is that it has a very poor brightness setting. It can be a little bit hard to look at the full display especially when the sun is up, shining brightly. But, if you watch movies inside your house, then there will be no problems at all.
For the performance, the Lenovo K3 Note is equipped with a whopping 64-bit Octa-Core processor from MediaTek that has a clock speed of 1.7GHz. And on top of that, the phone also comes with the Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2GB of system RAM. On the spec sheet, those specs are pretty impressive, but then again, real-world use cannot be fully emulated with just using benchmarks. Still, the phone, for its price, is packed with a great performance under the hood.
The Lenovo K3 Note comes with 16GB of internal storage and you have the option to expand the storage because it can support microSD capacities of up to 64GB. The device also supports 4G connectivity which is a good plus considering its ubiquity in the modern world.
The Lenovo K3 Note’s camera is also good. The mobile phone comes with a 13-megapixel camera with dual LED Flash. The picture quality is pretty okay, but don’t expect too much if you’re doing some low-light photography because that is the weak point of the camera. Still, the camera does a pretty good job, for the price.
The Lenovo K3 Note is a truly wonderful phone both in specs and performance. Although there are certain aspects where the phone is lacking, it still performs well overall. The Lenovo K3 Note costs only $150.
